The Ethiopian Village Outreach follows the example Jesus gave to us. He often ministered to the physical needs of a person before addressing the spiritual needs. Our mission is to develop a trusting working relationship with the people in rural village areas through humanitarian efforts. The long-term goal is a Church plant, conceived and supported by the villagers.
The success of an initial grassroots effort in 2005 encouraged our small group to adopt the name Ethiopian Village Outreach (EVO). The name implies that, with God's blessing, what was accomplished in Keribinge and Acheber can be realized in other villages as well. We hope to make it a true "village outreach" by identifying and serving other villages in the mountainous Region of Soddo, Ethiopia.
